Puppy Primer Program

Recommended For: Puppies up to 6 months of age.

Covers: Housetraining ★ Chewing ★ Jumping-up ★ Mouthing ★ Crate training ★ Pulling on leash ★ Basic manners training (e.g. sit, down, leave it, come).

Structure: Over the course of the three-month program, Dr. Wan will work with you to achieve your training goals. You’ll receive:

  • An initial 60-minute virtual consultation to answer your most pressing questions
  • Three 60-minute in-person training consultations at your home, using force-free, family-friendly training techniques
  • Three 30-minute virtual training consultations to troubleshoot issues between in-person appointments
  • Monthly drop-in virtual office hours
  • Access to monthly small-group practice sessions in the real world (e.g. Downtown Westport, CT, local parks) if your pup is friendly to people and other dogs
  • Training handouts with easy-to-follow instructions

Result: Get the support you need during the stressful puppyhood period, and lay the foundation for having a well-mannered dog.

Investment: $1,775 (plus CT sales tax) for the three-month program.

Rowdy Dog Program

Recommended For: Dogs over 6 months of age.

Covers: Jumping-up ★ Pulling on leash ★ Not coming when called ★ Incomplete housetraining ★ Basic manners (e.g. sit, down, leave it).

Structure: Over the course of the three-month training program, you’ll receive the following services from Dr. Wan:

  • An initial 60-minute virtual consultation to set goals and answer your most pressing questions
  • Three 60-minute in-person training consultations at your home, using force-free, family-friendly training techniques
  • Three 30-minute virtual training consultations to troubleshoot issues between in-person appointments
  • Monthly drop-in virtual office hours
  • Access to monthly small-group practice sessions in the real world (e.g. Downtown Westport, CT, local parks) if your dog is friendly to people and other dogs
  • Training handouts with easy-to-follow instructions

Difficult Dog Program

Recommended For: Dogs of any age experiencing behavioral issues.

Covers: Barking and lunging at other dogs (reactivity) ★ Barking at visitors ★ Guarding of resources like food and toys ★ Sensitivity to handling ★ Fear and anxiety ★ Other common behavior problems (aggression with bite history accepted on a case-by-case basis).

Structure: Over the course of this three-month behavior modification program, you’ll receive extensive step-by-step guidance from Dr. Wan:

  • An initial 60-minute virtual consultation, including assessment and behavioral history review
  • Development of customized behavioral recommendations and a detailed written behavior plan
  • Three 60-minute in-person consultations at your home, including instruction on force-free training and behavior modification techniques
  • Three 30-minute virtual behavior consultations to troubleshoot issues between in-person appointments
  • Weekly action items tailored for you and adjusted based on your feedback, so you know exactly what to work on to make progress
  • Monthly drop-in virtual office hours
  • Communication with your veterinarian

Result: Learn how to deal with challenging behaviors, and feel the relief of seeing improvement.

Investment: $3,950 for the three-month program. A variant with primarily virtual consultations is available for $3,250. Consultations with Certified Applied Animal Behaviorists are covered under some pet insurance policies; please contact your insurance company for details.
